Anderman Ceramics appointed Mike Jackson as sales manager

Anderman Ceramics has recently appointed a new sales manager to run its expanding US sales operation. Mr Mike Jackson joined the company at the beginning of May this year to help the company continue the development of its US sales operation.
Despite the current economic downturn the company is maintaining a positive outlook and continues to develop and improve its strategies for continued growth. Mike joins the existing US sales and marketing operation and brings with him considerable experience of industrial ceramics and a good knowledge of the target market. It is believed that the skill sets that Mike will bring to the company will compliment and enhance those already within the organisation and help to secure our future success.
Mike was born in Stoke on Trent in the UK in 1965 and has spent all of his career in the ceramics industry. Following an apprenticeship he moved into design where he was designing kiln furniture for some of the worlds leading manufacturers of high quality ceramics. He then moved to working in sales of Refractory products in 1995 and has remained in sales of ceramic products since. He relocated to Cornelius, North Carolina in the US in 2001 to become the American sales manager of Dyson Ceramics.
The experience that Mike brings to Anderman will compliment very well with the current US team and will also prove invaluable to the Anderman businesses within the UK and France. He also brings with him a number of new refractory product lines and a contract to sell these products within the US and other markets that compliment the existing ranges within the company. These include Kiln Furniture by IPS Ceramics, Zirconia Flow Control Ceramics by DysonTT, Silicon Carbide by Schunk and refractories for the Super Alloy and Glass industries by DZI Indonesia.
The core business of Anderman is to design and supply specialist ceramic products for industrial applications. Established in 1947 as Anderman & company Ltd, Anderman have been involved in this market since the start of the company and have traditionally been a UK based company. Expansion of the ceramics business started in 2000 with the opening of the French operation and was followed in 2004 by the US Company. Sales are now worldwide and serviced from these three operating facilities.
