Graphite India net drops 23.88% for Jun`10 qtr

Aug. 12, 2010 - Graphite India disclosed a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2010.During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 23.88% to Rs 343.90 million from Rs 451.80 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 10.15% to Rs 2,582.40 million, while total income for the quarter rose marginally 4.36% to Rs 2,611.20 million, when compared with the prior year period.
It posted earnings of Rs 1.99 a share during the quarter, registering 24.62% decline over prior year period.
Shares of the company declined Rs 2.35, or 2.35%, to trade at Rs 97.70. The total volume of shares traded was 124,201 at the BSE.
