DSF Refractories to be showcasing in Glasstec 2010

Write: Araxie [2011-05-20]

Aug. 10, 2010 - Glasstec 2010 will see DSF highlight the trend towards the use of its mullite refractories for regenerator constructions.. DSF have been supplying high fired andalusite and a range of mullite materials into the glass industry for more than 30 years with hundreds of installations worldwide.. Our team at Glasstec will be describing how the use of DSF high fired mullite can save a significant amount of energy when compared to traditional magnesite and how mullite can extend furnace life due to its resistance to batch carry-over.
DSF will also be showcasing its Frimax spinel material which is being utilised in oxy-fuel furnace crowns and melter superstructures.. DSF Frimax 7 has a melting point of 2135.C and has very low reactivity with soda.. This unique material is rapidly becoming a key consideration for glassmakers and furnace designers worldwide.
Tin bath materials will again be featured; our calcium-aluminate block, DSF Calex, is generating lots of interest from our float glass customers and we are now manufacturing sillimanite roof tiles in our China facility.
More information will be available about what we are offering from our factory in Tianjin, China.. We have recently supplied orders for RMT CF40 subhearth blocks, RMT Chemcast Fused Mullite forehearth roof blocks and RMT Frimax CHI spinel burner blocks.
Information on new developments such as DSF AZ15 and DSF AZ26, which complete our AZS range of products, will be available at the event along with product data on the complete range of refractory materials we supply into the glass industry.
New product brochures will be available and of course our sales and technical teams will be on hand to offer friendly advice and recommendations.
We hope to welcome you to our stand, 13B80, during Glasstec week and if you would like to contact us for more product information or to arrange a meeting at Glasstec please e-mail Sarah Wells, Exhibitions and Sales Co-Ordinator at swells@dsf.co.uk
