Aug. 13, 2010 - Mining junior Monax Mining on Friday reported that it would start exploring for bauxite at its Pretender Creek project, in South Australia.
The company said in a statement that the first five tenements have now been granted exploration permits, and Monax was currently undertaking landholder liaisons.
Monax was planning to start ground exploration within the coming weeks.
An additional tenement in the Pretender Creek project area is currently subject to the granting process, as is a different tenement, which forms part of Monax's Aurukun-Weipa project.
Exploration on these tenements would start as soon as possible.
