NiPlats Australia identifies mineralisation targets at Speewah

Oct. 12, 2010 - A gravity survey at the NiPlats Australia Speewah project in the east Kimberly region has identified a relationship between gravity features and zones of hydrothermal alteration, that are associated with copper-gold-silver and fluorite-barite-lead mineralisation.
NiPlats said the initial results are being used in the current drilling program to assist with the location of drill holes at prospects along the Central Fault Zone and at the Eiffler, Grays and Hayden prospects.
The drilling program includes reverse circulation and diamond core drilling with total metres authorized up to 20,000 metres, with the primary objective to maximize the number of targets tested during the current season.
In other NiPlats news, the company is looking to change its name to Speewah Metals, with the change of name to put to shareholders at the AGM on 3 November 2010.
The board's view is that the name better reflects the major geological feature on which the tenements were originally pegged, and the multi-metal prospectivity of the tenements.
In July and August 2010, NiPlats reported spectacular high grade copper, gold and silver assays in surface samples from Speewah.
