TORONTO, CANADA - Dec. 20, 2010 - Fortune Graphite Inc. announces today it has acquired 100% of the Harris Creek Placer gold property with a past production record in the Vernon mining division of British Columbia, Canada.
The Harris Creek Placer is a past producing gold property. The total past gold production recovered 14,150 grams of gold.
A recovery of 373 grams of gold was reported from amongst large boulders at and near irregular bedrock over a 4.6 by 15 metre area. A channel exposed in a cross-section on the west side of Harris Creek produced 435 grams of gold.
Although the Harris Creek Placer had been an active gold mine in the past, government records conclude that the gold resources on the property may have been under exploited. Fortune Graphite Inc. plans to conduct a considerable exploration, sampling and testing program in 2011 to better determine the gold values on the property.
