Jan. 1, 2011 - Umesh Deveshwar, previously CEO of ACE Calderys (India), has been appointed Chairman Imerys India.
Indian national, Umesh Deveshwar, 62, graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), has industrial experience and knowledge of the Indian economy. It will now benefit the four industries Imerys to accelerate the Group's development in countries with high growth potential.
Already present in India since 2004 through its activities for Paper Pigments and Minerals for Ceramics, Imerys has strengthened its presence in 2007 with the acquisition of ACE Refractories and now has nine production sites in that country.
