Minotaur advances plans to commercialise Poochera kaolin deposit

Write: Heddwyn [2011-05-20]
Australia is poised from the end of 2012 to have only its second operational kaolin mine, as developer Minotaur Exploration Limited steps up plans to commercialise its world-class, high-grade kaolin deposit near Poochera.
Minotaur announced it was accelerating bulk testing of the Poochera deposit east of Streaky Bay, with its objective to now achieve maiden production within two years to meet expected higher global demand, particularly from Asia.
To enhance its test schedule, Minotaur has relocated the bulk sampling plant, used in the company's exhaustive product testing and analysis programs, from Queensland to Streaky Bay.
Re-installation of the plant was completed in December, with its work rate to be increased through 2011 as Minotaur continues to prove up its kaolin deposit.
