PARMA, Ohio, Mar. 15, 2011 - Graphite products maker GrafTech International Ltd. said Tuesday acting Chief Financial Officer Mark R. Widmar is leaving the company "to pursue another career opportunity."
The Parma, Ohio, company said Chairman and CEO Craig Shular, will serve as interim CFO. Shular was CFO before Widmar, the company said in a prepared statement.
Widmar, who joined the company in 2006, also served as president of its Engineered Solutions segment. GrafTech said Joel Hawthorne will replace him in that role. Hawthorne became GrafTech's vice president of global marketing and sales for industrial material in 2009.
GrafTech praised Widmar's work and contributions and wished him "the best of success at his new company."
It said a search for a permanent CFO was under way before Tuesday's announcement.
Shares of GrafTech fell 47 cents, or 2.3 percent, to $20.01 in afternoon trading.
