BEIJING China's beer output exceeded 42 million liters in 2009, making it the world's largest beer producer for the eighth consecutive year, according to Wang Yancai, director general of the China Alcoholic Drinks Industry Association.
Since 2002, China's beer production has surpassed that of the United States, ranking it first in the world.
At present, China has about 20 percent of the world's beer consumers and 30 percent of the global beer output growth comes from China.
China's beer industry has become the fastest growing; the largest producer and consumer; and the most competitive industry in world's beer markets.
China's brewing equipment, technology, and the capacity of beer and beverages have also improved at the same time.
