The economic minister Amado Budu in Argentine indicated that the international price of grain is decided by the supply and demand relations. If we intervene in the international price of grain, it will cause the distortion of supply-demand relation. It may lead to a crisis of global food.
After attending the Meeting of Twenty Groups of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, Budu said in the press conference that the controlling of Agricultural price will twist supply-demand relation in the market. The dropping in production will lead to an insufficiency of grain in the whole world. Thus it has an impact on security the world grain.
A report by FAO recently showed that international price of grain in December, 2010 approached the level of grain crisis in 2008. The report said that it was only two years after the grain crisis from 2007 to 2008. The world will face a new attacking of grain price. The weak condition of grain market in some nations will be anxious. The partial members of 20 countries proposed to strengthen the cooperation in the group. They carry an intervention to the international price of grain, but this suggestion initiates an argument in member nations.
