The price for tickets for Euro 2012 soccer championship in Ukraine and Poland will range from 30 euros (41 U.S. dollars) up to 600 euros (821 dollars), UEFA officials said Tuesday.
"UEFA website will be an only official channel to book and purchase tickets. I'd like fans to avoid from dealing with any illegal distributors," UEFA Event Director, Martin Kallen, said at a conference in Kiev.
The registration of applies for buying tickets started on Feb.1, the official noted.
Meanwhile, officials from the Ukrainian Organizing Committee said they were expecting boom in the tickets sales and that 75 percent of the total number of tickets would be sold in the hosting countries according to estimates.
Earlier, Ukraine's Information Center Euro-2012 said some percentage of tickets would be a lottery adding the ticket sales would start from March 1.
In Dec., 2011, the national teams will be drawn for the final group stage of the tournament to be held in four Ukrainian and four Polish cities.
