Puyol Left out of Spain squad against Colombia

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque left defender Carles Puyol out of his squad for their friendly against Colombia on Wednesday.

Sevilla winger Jesus Navas will return for the first time since September after battling injuries for much of this season.

Puyol has recently been sidelined by a knee injury. Fellow World Cup champions Juanma Mata and Javi Martinez were left to play for Spain's Under-21 team.

Spain is winless in three friendly games since winning its first World Cup in July.

The game against Colombia will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
