Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo discussed many questions associated with himself and his club in a radio interview broadcast in the early hours of Friday morning on radio station Cadena Ser in Spain.
Ronaldo discussed his childhood and the effects of becoming a parent himself, as well as his image as an arrogant player.
He said the image some people have of him is far from the truth, but added that he didn't mind as he knew he was a good person and not a hypocrite.
Ronaldo also discussed several sporting issues, beginning by saying he hardly watches games of Real Madrid' s rivals, FC Barcelona.
"If I at home and their game is on television, I will watch it, but I don' t give it all of my attention. I like sport and I watch all sports, such as basketball, ping pong..." said Ronaldo.
He did, however, admit that Barcelona, who currently lead the Primera Liga by seven points and who defeated Madrid 5-0 earlier in the season, are a great team.
"They are at the very top of the best sides in the World and are showing themselves to be very hard to beat. The 5-0 defeat was one of the hardest moments in my life to get over, but we have to take things from it. We learned a lot and we will not make the same mistakes again," he said.
Real Madrid will play Barcelona both in the BBVA Primera Liga and in the final of the Copa del Rey at the end of April and Ronaldo is optimistic that coach Jose Mourinho knows how to change the results the next time the two sides play.
"Mourinho knows how to beat them and we too have an idea. I am certain we will beat them. I am going to score against Barca this season and I will try to do so in the next two games," said Ronaldo.
