Mothers demand Children's Day leave

Mothers demand Children's Day leave

Write: Shakira [2011-05-26]

Two women hold a poster soliciting signatures from passersby to support their call for parents be allowed to have a day off on June 1, Children's Day, on a street in downtown Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, May 24, 2011. The Chinese characters read: "June 1, I also want a holiday. I want to be with my kid." While their proposition received support from some who signed their poster, others said the care of children didn't necessarily require being with them on Children's Day, when school kids enjoy a day off from school.
