Ignite Media partners with MMG to promote winter theme park

Two principal companies of Ignite Media Group (www.igniteasia.com) are teaming up with MMG Productions to promote a new winter entertainment complex at Macau's Fisherman's Wharf.

Macau-based MMG Productions has completed the first of its attractions at the Wharf -- The Ice Gallery. An MOP 80 ticket admits its buyer to a chilly realm of wintry slides, an ice bar and an ice rink. A 300-square-meter gallery of artisan ice sculptures is a central attraction, with ice festivals to be scheduled on weekends. MMG invested MOP 24 million to create the cool and artful getaway.

Ticketing assistance is being provided to MMG by New Macau Box Offices, Ignite Media's ticketing and event management service. Gallery tickets are available online from Macau.com, Ignite Media's premier destination marketing site for entertainment seekers and travelers.

"The Ice Gallery is an appealing addition to entertainment offerings in Macau," says Simon Henry, Managing Director of Ignite Media Group. "We are committed as always to contributing to the continued growth of Macau as Asia's premier tourism and entertainment destination and to the healthy diversification of the Macau economy."

Over the next year, MMG will spend another MOP 128 million to build the complex's second phase -- Winter Park. That part of the entertainment complex will feature an Alpine setting of cross-country ski trails, a food court and extreme slides for adults -- a 3,000-square-meter park enclosed in a glass-sided and glass-roofed structure.
