China and Mongolia signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Statistical Cooperation

Mr. Li Deshui, commissioner of National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) interviewed Mr. Byambatseren Pandii, commissioner of National Statistical Office of Mongolia, and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Statistical Cooperation between China and Mongolia.

Mr. Li Deshui pointed out that, both China and Mongolia, within the stage of economic transition, have many same characters of statistics tasks, we could learn and use each other advantages as references. The signed Memorandum of Understanding on Statistical Cooperation would be the new start and important meanings to the statistical cooperation and development of the two countries.

Mr. Pandii reviewed friendly relationship development of China and Mongolia, and figure the Memorandum ofUnderstandingon Statistical Cooperation as a milestone to effect the development of Mongolia s statistics.

Mr. Feng Nailin, Mr. Du Weiqun from Department of International Cooperation; Mr. Wei Guixiang from Department of Statistical Design and Management, and Mr. Hu Fan from Computer Center attended the ceremony.
