MOU Signing on Statistical Education Cooperation Held in Korea

MOU Signing on Statistical Education Cooperation held recently in Daejeon, South Korea. The delegation of China Statistical Education headed by Mr. Zhang Zhongliang, Director-General, China Statistical Education Center of NBS (CSEC), thirty relevant staff and statistical education experts from Statistical Training Institute of Korea (STI), and International Affairs of Korea National Statistical Office (KNSO), participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, STI made special reports on South Korean officials education and training, public statistical education, training demands research, training curriculum design, evaluation of the effectiveness of training, and online learning. China Statistical Education Delegation reported on the directions of China statistical education.

MOU Signing on Statistical Education Cooperation Held in Korea

CSEC and STI carried through an in-depth discussion on building statistical education resources and education networks, and decided to developing cooperation in the above-mentioned two areas. Both sides agreed that the exploits of the content resource, as well as the cooperation of techniques between two sides will mutually beneficial and win-win development.

Mr. Lee Chang-ho, Director of KNSO, met with the China Statistical Education Delegation, and communicated current statistical education situation of both sides with Mr. Zhang Zhongliang. Mr. Lee Chang-ho hope that, the cooperation between China and South Korea statistical education and training institutions can bring the expectant effects between two countries, and promote the cooperation and intercourse in the field of official statistics area.

Messrs. Zhang Zhongliang, and Shin Seung-Wou, Dean of STI, has signed a memorandum of cooperation on behalf of their respective organizations. In accordance with the memorandum of cooperation, CSEC and STI will communicated, exchanged, and cooperation in educational training techniques and resources areas, and achieve common development on this basis in the next five years.
