CAE member Shi Wenglie is appointed consultant to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo

On the morning of July18, the World Fair Organization Committee appointed 18 noted experts as chief consultants to the Shanghai World Expo with the approval of Vice Premier Wu Yi, head of the organizing committee. They are from such fields as urban planning and development, architecture, culture and art broadcasting, science and technology, philosophy, exhibition design, landscape architecture, and environmental protection.
An important task in preparing for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo is to further highlight the theme of and study and make a plan for the China Hall and the exhibition to be held there. At the morning meeting, the Shanghai World Expo Organizing Committee issued letters of appointment to 18 noted experts as consultants, including Professor Weng Shilie, CAE member and director of the Shanghai Academicians Center.
