Prof. Cl ment Sanchez and Prof. Bao-Lian Su Invited to present DICP Anniversary Lectures

On 2nd of April, Prof. Cl ment Sanchez of P.M. Curie University, France, and Prof. Bao-Lian Su of Namur University, Belgium, were invited to deliver lectures as part of the celebrating academic activities on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of DICP. Their lecture titles were respectively "Synthesis of Functional Nanoporous Powders and Coating" and "Clean Energy Production and CO2 Removal by Photosynthesis: Conception of Artificial Leaf". These were the second and third lecture of the DICP Anniversary invited lectures.

The lectures were chaired by Prof. LIU Zhongmin, Vice-Director of DICP. After the lectures, Prof. ZHANG Tao, Director of DICP, presented to each of the two distinguished lecturers a "Lecture Certificate of 60th Anniversary of DICP" on behalf of the institute.

The two guests were also invited to visit the Space Catalysis and New Materials Laboratory, the Applied Catalysis Laboratory and the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis of DICP during their stay in the institute.

Prof. Sanchez obtained his Ph. D. degree from the P.M. Curie University in 1981. At present he is Member of the CNRS, France, Member of the Experts Group of P.M. Curie University, Director of the Specialty Institute of CNRS, and Director of Laboratory of Condensed-State Materials Chemistry, Paris.

Prof. Bao-Lian Su got her Ph. D. degree from the P.M. Curie University in 1992. She joined the Namur University of Belgium in 1995, and is now a Full Professor of this University, Head of the Chemistry Department, Director of the Research Center for Nano-Materials Chemistry, Director of the Laboratory of Inorganic Materials Chemistry, and Chairperson of the Namur University Branch of the Royal Society of Belgium. She is also Member of Editorial Boards of a number of SCI journals.
