Accessible-designed homes for the lower-income disable

Dongguan Government is planning to reconstruct 3000 homes for the disable with lower income in the city, in order make those homes fully accessible for them.

The reconstruction will include accessible-designed corridors and entrances, an accessible bathroom, an accessible kitchen, necessary armrests and a folding bathing chair. The Government will spend 1.65 million yuan (US$245 thousand) this year to reconstruct 100 such homes, and by the 2015 the benefit will be extended to about 3000 homes in the city.
