Freshmen saw their debut at ZSTU, a harmonious new tune lingered on campus a profile of 2010 ZSTU welcome to freshmen

Over 4200 freshmen came to ZSTU for registration on September 5th. Their dynamic vigor animated the whole campus. ZSTU had made exhaustive preparations to make new students feel the warmth from the school and help them adjust to college life. On this very day the hardworking reception staff, the volunteers with kind smiles, the energetic freshmen and their happy parents formed the most beautiful autumn view. Kindness, patience and devotion from the efficient reception staff contributed to the sweetly played welcome symphony.

The digital system facilitated the one-stop registration with great convenience and efficiency. The digital system incorporated the data from different parts into a systematic whole to provide integrated and precise information and simultaneously show the registration of each individual freshmen as well as that of all freshmen.

ZSTU leading body went to the sites, giving guides and comforts to ensure the work well done. Qiu Songliang, Cheng Gang and Chen Jianyong visited the registration sites, the green channel site, the reception headquarter and the dorms, debriefed the registrations of different schools, and sent comforting encouragements to the working staff.

In order to ensure freshmen s smooth arrival, ZSTU arranged shuttle buses at Hangzhou South Railway Station, Hangzhou Railway station and Jiubao Passenger Transport Central Station to pick them up and posted signs for direction along the main streets of the Area of Higher Education in Xiasha. The reception map was put up near the shuttle bus stop, at the reception site water and benches were available for students and parents to drink and rest.

The consideration and kindness of the volunteers warmed the heart of the freshmen. They bustled about from the railway stations to the reception headquarter to the dorms. They worked meticulously, they smiled sincerely. Their thoughtfulness and enthusiasm moved the freshmen and the parents.

A volunteer said, I still remember the kindness of my senior students when I first came to the university last year, now I am doing my best to help my juniors. A parent of a freshman held his hand and said gratefully, To have such kind and helpful seniors like you, I feel no worries now.
