The delegation of our university visited all the branches of world meteorological organization: President Li Lianshui met chief officials of WMO and Our University Alumni

On June 7 and 8, 2006, President Li Lianshui heading a delegation paid a special visit on M. Jarraud, secretary-general of WMO, Mr. Yan Hong, vice secretary-general, and J. Lengoasa, assistant secretary-general, and visited the 12 departments of WMO, namely, department of education and training, department of exterior communication, department of atmosphere study and environmental planning, department of global weather observation and world climate planning

The delegation had a friendly talk with WMO secretary-general and official of different departments on cooperation regarding international weather education and training. The delegation also informed WMO about the development of weather education and research in our university as well as the planning for the 10th WMO education and training international symposium in the upcoming September in our university.

WMO praised highly the contribution made by our university to international weather education and training. The two sides expressed their expectation and hope in future cooperation in an all-around way.
