On November 8, Mr. Abdul Rahim Abdul Rahman, Group Vice President of AET Tankers and Captain Fared Khan, Head of Group HR Sea visited SMU. Prof. Kong Fancun, SMU Vice President and heads of departments concerned warmly received the visitors and had a free talk with them.

Prof. Kong briefed on the education scheme for Navigation and Marine Engineering students as well as their employment in recent years. Mr. Abdul Rahim Abdul Rahman had a meeting with senior year student representatives in Merchant Marine College. He learned about their undergraduate study and campus life as well as their prospects of future career onboard. AET expressed their intention to employ some cadets who are to graduate next year.
