Just a few days ahead of the 50th Anniversary of BIFT, a group of sculptures were completed, with Chinese tunic suit as a main sculpture which was designed by Professor Sui Jianguo, a famous sculptor of the Central Fine Arts Academy. Chinese tunic suit represents the national identity and ideology symbolized by Dr.
Sun Yat-sen's tunic suit. The abstract image is rich in texture and rhythm, perfectly interpreting the integration of science, art and fashion. The other 7 smaller sculptures were all designed and made by the faculty of plastic arts in BIFT, well demonstrating the institute's unique character of combining art with engineering and technology.
