Students Win Prize in 35th ACM-ICPC Competition

On 24th October, good news came from Hangzhou that HUST-ErBao team from Electrical and Electronic Innovation Center of Qiming School won gold prize in the 35th ACM-ICPC International Programming Competition-Qualifiers Asia Hangzhou division .The HUST-Nebula team from the School of Computer Science and Technology won the bronze prize.


138 teams from 79 universities throughout the world like Tsinghua University, Peking University and the National University of Mongolia, etc. took part in this competition. In total, there was 1 champion,12 gold prizes,24 silver prizes and 36 bronze prizes. After 5 hours of fierce competition, the HUST-ErBao team from HUST ranked fifth and won the chance to participate in the finals.


ACM/ICPC is held by ACM Academy, which is one of the oldest and rather authoritative organization in the community. It is known as one of the biggest international program competition, intending to offering a good chance for college students to show their ability in analysing and solving problems through computer programs. ACM-ICPC is the only competition hosted by Chinese university that has great influence throughout the world.
