Delegation of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences Visited Jiangnan University

On June 18th, the delegation of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences paid a visit to JiangnanUniversity. The four-member delegation consists of Prof. Dr. Rudolf Luckmann, Vice President of Anhalt University (in charge of international exchanges and research), Prof. Einar Kretzler, Vice President of Anhalt University (in charge of the intelligent system), Prof. Nicolai Neubert, dean of Department of Design, and Prof. Johannes Kalvelage, dean of Department of Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation.

At 8:30 in the morning, in the company of teachers of School of Design at JiangnanUniversity, the delegation visited the DesignMuseum of the School and spoke highly of students works. At 9:00, these German professors gave a lecture entitled Design Education in Germany to teachers and students of School of Design. Li Shiguo, Vice Dean of School of Design, presided over the lecture, which included talks on the history of German design, introduction to AnhaltUniversity as well as its graduates projects and students works. The humor and wisdom of the four speakers made the whole gallery burst into warm applause from time to time, and the entire lecture ended in a jubilant atmosphere.

After the lecture, the two schools carried out specific discussions on cooperation in conducting related courses and exchanges between students and between teachers. In the half-day communication, both sides found that their architecture and teaching philosophy of related disciplines were very similar, thus they were looking forward to the prospects of their cooperation. Participants of this talk include Wang Wu, Vice President of Jiangnan University, Liu Lixia, Director of International Office, Li Shiguo and Wang Anxia, both Vice Dean of School of Design, and heads of relevant workshops.
