In July, the producers price index (PPI) for manufactured goods increased 3.6 percent over the same month of the previous year, raw materials, fuels and power increased 6.7 percent. PPIs for means of production rose 4.8 percent over the last July. Of which, prices for mining and quarrying industry, raw materials industry, machining industry rose 15.9 percent, 8.1 percent and 1.6 percent respectively. Producers price for means of consumer goods stayed steady over the same month of the previous year. Of which, foodstuff surging 0.1 percent, clothing promoting 1.2 percent, articles for daily use rose 0.6 percent, and durable consumer goods dropped 1.9 percent. In terms of categories: Producers price for crude oil grew 26.6 percent over the same month of the previous year. The prices for oil products, such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel oil rose 25.4 percent, 27 percent and 21.2 percent respectively. Producers price for polystyrene up 5.5 percent, latex surging 2.6 percent, that of terylene increased 7.7 percent compared with last month. Producers price for mining and cleaning industry rose 2.8 percent over the same month of the previous year. Of which, producers price for crude coal increased 2.4 percent. Producers price for smelting and pressing of ferrous metals decreased 2.7 percent month-on-month. Of which, producer s price for ordinary large rolled-steels, medium rolled-steels dropped 4.2 percent and 1.4 percent respectively, small rolled-steels, wire rod increased 1.5 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, while the heavy steel plate decreased 7.4 percent. Producers price for the smelting and pressing of nonferrous metals rising 26.9 percent over the same month of the previous year. Of which, the increase of copper, aluminum, lead and zinc were within the range of 10.8 percent to 69.9 percent. Besides, the purchasing price for raw materials, fuels and power products, the price for fuel and power, nonferrous metal materials and chemical materials increased 13.1, 37.2, and 2.2 percent respectively, while purchasing price for ferrous metals decreased 1.5 percent over the last July. Compared with the same period of the previous year, from January to July, producers' price index for manufactured goods increased 2.9 percent, and the purchasing prices for raw materials, fuels and power rose 6.1 percent year-on-year. |
