Nansha Customs House affiliates to Guangzhou Customs District with Nansha district of Guangzhou city being its main area of jurisdiction. Nansha District, which locates in southeast Guangzhou, is the geometrical center of the Pearl River Delta. It is one of the most active players in the economic development of the West Bank of the Pearl River. In 2008, the Customs administration exerted control over USD 10.91 billion s worth of cargos from the district with a net Customs duty submitted to the national treasury standing at RMB 5.77 billion.
