SINOCHEM International Comprehensively Promotes the Construction of EHS Management System

The duty of security management is very important and there is a long way to go. SINOCHEM International Corporation held the Meeting of EHS Working Conclusion 2005 & the Working Disposition 2006 on Dec. 23rd 2005 for summarizing the experiences in this year and arrange the works for next year.
This is a first companywide security meeting after the SINOCHEM EHS Dept. founded in 2005.There were many people attended the conference such as the leaders coming from relevant functional departments, industrial and logistic sections of the SINOCHEM HQ, and security principals . Both Wu Gangjian, the director assistant of the SINOCHEM Security Production Committee, and Mou Xiangfeng, the vice general manager of SINOCHEM International, attended the meeting and gave a speech.

SINOCHEM International firstly founded the EHS organization in every company inside the SINOCHEM Group and started to build the EHS Organization and Management system in 2005. It wholly inspected the security of all the departments of the company, contractors and contracted operators. 100% of the new coming employees were trained. However, due to the problems such as the investment on the security and the former debts, the work of safety in production of SINOCHEM is still in the state of improving step by step and there is a long way to go.

In the main background that our government focuses highly on the work of safety in production and SINOCHEM emphasizes on the safe operation, the conference decided that Safety in Production of SINOCHEM would follow the requirements of the state and the group further more this year. The members of the EHS should enhance the communication of the experiences and make conclusions timely and master the working condition so as to improve the professional quality of the EHS managements of the company.

The specific demands were proposed in the meeting for setting up the reasonable EHS objectives and indexes in every relevant department of SINOCHEM, strengthening the legal sense of the management; reinforcing the strengthening the examination and rectification of the EHS; fulfill the obligation of safety in production step by step so as to insure that the work of safety in production of SINOCHEM would change from the "expediency" into "prevention", from "passiveness" into "initiative" and to provide forceful EHS assurance to make this company "respected" globally.
