Handover Ceremony of Baiyang Ship was held ceremoniously

On July 5, the heated atmosphere at Ningbo Yongjiang Outfitting Wharf made that day s high temperature of 35 C appear pale by comparison; on the land, drum beats and music rhythms reverberated loudly and thunderous applauses sounded like tidal waves; on the ship, colorful flags flowed in the wind and fireworks went up in the sky. The ship handover ceremony of Ningbo Xinle Shipyard and Shanghai Sinochem Stolt Shipping Co., Ltd. was held here ceremoniously.
Sinochem International s General Manager Xu Weihui and nearly a hundred honored guests from Stolt, China Classification Society, Ningbo Maritime Bureau, SECCO, CSCP, and BYC attended the ceremony.
In his speech Xu Weihui extended warm welcome to all attending guests, he indicated that with the expansion of the ship fleet, Sinochem Stolt would become the best service provider in China s liquid chemical logistic field with top grade service and first class management, Sinochem International would also make even larger investment in acquiring newly built ships, storage tanks and tank containers, so as to ensure Sinochem International to occupy the leading position in the domestic chemical logistic field.
Baiyang Ship is the first ship for transporting liquid chemical products made by Ningbo Xinle Shipyard for delivery to Sinochem Stolt, with steel ship body, specially coated cargo holds, and a carrying capacity of 3600 tons. Checks by China Classification Association revealed that Baiyang Ship reached the standard of international II, III class for carrying chemical products and finished oil products. After the delivery of Baiyang Ship, Xinle Shipyard would also construct three liquid chemical ships for Sinochem Stolt Company.
Sinochem Stolt is a joint venture company formed by Sinochem International subsidiary Hainan Sinochem Shipping Co., Ltd. and the world s largest chemical product transporter Stolt Transportation Group. |
