"Milan" launching in Chongqing

On Dec. 29, 2006, Milan, another high standard liquid chemicals vessel of Sinochem International, was successfully launched in Chongqing Chuandong Shipyard.

Li Chao, Deputy General Manager of Sinochem International, Wu Jianong, Vice Mayor of Chongqing, Dong Qiang, Deputy General Manager of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Zhang Ming, Party Secretary of Fuling District, and Tang Zongwei, Warden of Fuling District attended the launching ceremony of Milan.

In the address, Li Chao expressed the gratitude to the hardworking of all staff members of Chuangdong Shipyard for the launching of the new vessel, and the confidence in the shipyard in building and delivering remaining vessels in the contract with better quality and higher standards. He hoped that the two parties would continue cooperation, seize the rare opportunities in the shipping market and achieve common development.

At the ceremony, Hainan Sinochem Shipping Ltd, a subsidiary wholly owned by Sinochem International, signed the contract of building 2+2 9000-ton stainless steel chemicals vessels with Chuangdong Shipyard.

Hainan Sinochem Shipping Ltd. is the largest shipping operation entity in China in the business of liquid chemicals transportation, mainly in the business of liquid chemicals transportation and ship management on international oceanic and offshore routes as well as domestic coastal routes.
