On Dec. 4, Liu Deshu, President of Sinochem Corporation, in company of Xu Weihui, General Manager of Sinochem International, met the delegation led by Mr. Brett Begermann, Global Vice Managing Director of Monsanto.
Xu Weihui expressed welcome to the guests and wishes for more cooperation between the two parties. Since 2002, Sinochem International has been the exclusive distributor in China Mainland for the products of Monsanto including selective herbicide, acetamide pesticide, and will have the ownership of trademarks for the products including Machete and Harness in the next few years.
Brett Begermann said that the great market potential in China would bring confidence to the business development of Monsanto in China, and he hopes that the cooperation between the two parties would not only bring Monsanto products into China, but also the effective integration of Monsanto technology and China self-owned transgenosis technology for world market.
