Several days ago, Sinochem International again released report of social responsibility, taking retrospect and expounding in detail on the efforts made and achievement done on corporate governance, business responsibility and social responsibility.
In 2006, with continuous education and cultivation on social responsibility among all the staff members, Sinochem International has made substantial progress in safety, health and environment. In the field of liquid chemicals logistics, Sinochem International has made an investment of 2.35 billion Yuan in world standard double-shell stainless steel vessels and isotanks for upgrading and new operation. In the field of chemical industry, the company has adopted advanced technology realizing zero discharge of industrial waste water and waste gas. Hainan Sinochem Anlian Rubber Ltd, a subordinate to Sinochem International, has passed the certification of ISO14001 Environment Management System, being the 1st enterprise passing the certification in the industry in China.
As the public company under the holding of Sinochem Corporation, Sinochem International treasures the social responsibility as the core competitiveness for sustainable development. The Board had once invited experts from home and abroad conducting training and coaching for the directors and senior management of Sinochem International on social responsibility.
This time, following the release of 2005 report on social responsibility, Sinochem International released 2006 report on social responsibility, which shows the efforts of Sinochem International in the standardization and transparency of company social behavior for the alignment with global standard.
