Sinochem International Co-organizes China Liquid Chemical Logistics Summit

How to promote the standard, orderly and healthy development of China's liquid chemical logistics industry? On October 21, the two-day 2007 China Liquid Chemical Logistics Summit was held in Zhangjiagang, co-organized by Sinochem International and sponsored by China Chemical Industry News for the profound discussion over related issues.

The summit consisted of keynote forum, corporate forum and topic seminar; related personnel from National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Communications, State Administration of Work Safety, Association of International Chemical Manufacturers as well as representatives of about 100 chemical and logistics enterprises attended the summit. Currently, Chinese liquid chemical product logistics facilities are increasingly improved, with strengthened function of liquid chemical distribution through terminal and storage, and investment in water transport of liquid chemical is growing rapidly, but the entire liquid chemical logistics industry is encountered with obvious troubles: immature supervision, regulation and standard system, underdeveloped third party logistics, serious imbalance between east and west in industrial development, frequent safety and environmental accidents, unfair competition and low credit, all become the serious obstacle to the development of liquid chemical logistics industry.

The report of Sinochem International made overall analysis of domestic liquid chemical logistics status and trend, and introduced in detail the current situation that the company, based on existing liquid chemical shipping and tank container land distribution, expanded chemical logistics, port logistics, and terminal tank business in the park.
