According to the list of top 500 Chinese companies released by China Enterprise Confederation/ China Enterprise Director Association (CEC/CEDA) in Wuhan on September 1, SinoChem Corporation - the majority shareholder of SinoChem International ranks 11th. In the list of top 500 service-related enterprises published at the same time, SinoChem Corporation ranks 9th.
This was the 6th time that CEC/CEDA has issued such a list. Among the top 10 are China Petrochemical Corporation, PetroChina Company Limited, State Grid Corporation of China, Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China Limited, China Mobile Communications Corporation, Bank of China, China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd., China Life Insurance (Group) Company, China Telecommunications Corporation and Agricultural Bank of China.
Business revenues of the 2007 top 500 amounted to 17.49 trillion yuan, with the combined assets reaching 51.98 trillion yuan and a total of over 1.32 trillion yuan in tax.
