SinoChem Strives to Build the Largest Chemical Logistics Provider in Southwest China

On August 4, at the Promotion Conference on SinoChem International Logistics held in Chongqing Chemical Industrial Park SinoChem presented its development strategy and achievements in chemical logistics and introduced the implementation planning and progresses in Chongqing Chemical Industrial Park.

Officials from Chongqing Municipal government and Xu Weihui, general manager of SinoChem International attended the conference.

Chongqing Warehouse & Logistics Co., Ltd, a subsidiary wholly owned by SinoChem, will serve as the major player. With strong support from Chongqing Municipal Government and all relevant administrative departments, it will base itself on ChongqingChemicalIndustrial Park and develop an integrated business involving chemical ports, tanks, containers, shipping of liquid chemicals on Yangtze River, dangerous goods warehouses, etc. Great efforts will be made to build SinoChem Chongqing Warehouse & Logistics Co. Ltd. into the largest comprehensive chemical logistics provider in Southwest China, therefore contributing to the entire Yangtze River shipping and economic development in the southwest.

At present, logistics business of SinoChem International, the shipping of domestic liquid chemicals in particular, is already the market leader in China, supported by high standard shipping fleet for liquid chemicals and professional management team. The tank container logistics business is undergoing great development too, with service points set up in major areas nationwide, providing professional logistics service to customers. In view of the requirements for dangerous goods logistics, the port logistics business has invested on necessary facilities for providing customized service. By carrying out the safety concept of "to win the trust of society, customers and employees by excellent environment, health and safety performance", SinoChem International is committed to investing in high level logistic facilities and providing differentiated professional logistic service to customers based on high-level operation management system and professional teams.

The recent years have witnessed ever closer cooperation between SinoChem Corporation and Chongqing. SinoChem Corporation invested to set up Fuling Chemical and SinoChem International built 6 ships for liquid chemicals in Chongqing Chuan Dong Shipyard, with the total investment amounting to 1 billion yuan. On April 5 this year, with great support from Chongqing Municipal Government, SinoChem International signed an agreement with ChongqingChemicalIndustrial Park on the integrated logistics service and set up Chongqing Warehouse & Logistics Co., Ltd on June 25.

Based on the requirements of the Park and local customers, SinoChem International will set up logistic facilities such as liquid chemical tanks, pipe gallery and chemical ports within the ChongqingChemicalIndustrial Park. In line with the needs of companies in the Park, it will expand the Yangtze River chemical shipping business. Meanwhile, 1000 tank containers will be put into use to meet the highest safety standard of liquid chemical land transportation according to market needs. To satisfy the needs for chemical container transportation of the companies, a new chemical treatment center will be set up to offer professional logistic service to customers.

SinoChem International also actively conducted direct communications with companies in the Park in an effort to make customized integrated logistic plans based on their investment plan and development requirement. The infrastructure in the park is now under construction.
