2008 Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum was held in Beihai, Guangxi Province, from 29 to 31, July. As the guest speaker, Mr. Li Chao, deputy general manager of Sinochem Int'l, was invited to attend the forum.
During the forum, Mr. Ma Biao, chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and other leaders met with representatives from various well-known domestic and international enterprises, discussing about the economic cooperation and future development in Pan CBeibu Gulf. In addition, Li also conducted field research in Qinzhou City and Qinzhou Port New Area, exchanging opinions with Mr.
Huang Zhou, deputy mayor of Qinzhou, about Sinochem International's involvement in the logistics service of the Qinzhou Port Chemical Industrial Park. Mr. Wang also expressed his hope that Sinochem Int'l could also play an active role in the development of Qingzhou Port Free Trade Zone.
The forum was attended by over 600 government officials, experts from WTO and World Bank, economists, and entrepreneurs from all over the world.
