Feeling satisfied with the project progress

On June 6, 2009, the chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority of Pakistan paid a visit to the construction site of C3 Section of the NJ Hydropower Station Project, and inspected the excavation and construction of A5 and A6 subsidiary tunnels on the site.

The chairman felt satisfied with the current construction progress. In his address to the construction staff of the NJ Project Department and the local police force, he said that the NJ Project is the largest hydropower project in Pakistan, and its tunnel is the longest underground project in the country, imposing high technological requirements. He hoped that the Project Department will make the technical preparation, reinforce the quality control and proceed with the project construction with high quality and level while ensuring the construction safety and the social security.
