Two catenary operation cars loaded on a Korea Ship departed from Tianjin seaport to Taiwan on June 21, 2004. The cars were made by CNR Beijing Feb. 7th Locomotive Works. They will arrive Taiwan next week.
The contract was signed in the end of 2003. This is the first time for China mainland to delivere railcar to Taiwan.
