On December 1, 2008, 20 diesel electric locomotives were shipped to Burma in Dalian Seaport. The locomotives were made by CNR Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. The contract was dealt on May 10, 2007.
From 1993, CNR Dalian has delivered 22 type CKD7 diesel electric locomotives for Burma in three times. These locomotives are running well on over 2,000m altitude mountain area although the max. gradient reached 40 per thousand.
