The contract-signing ceremony was held in Shenzhen on August 18, 2009.
Invested, constructed and operated by HK-based MTR Corporation, Phase II of Shenzhen Metro Line 4 is China s first BOT metro project. The project, which involves 28 trains 112 cars with four two motor cars and two trailer cars formed into a group, is China s first practice of incorporating the network control system into an open bid, and will help them to master network control and other core technologies, improve automization capacity and increase core competitiveness.
