CSR volunteers for World Expo subway support

On the morning of March 10, 30 Chinese and foreign famous enterprises from fields such as subway power supply, signal, vehicle, communication and construction signed contracts with Shanghai Metro as the first group of professional corporate volunteers for subway support to the Shanghai World Expo.

CSR Vice President Fu Jianguo attended the signing ceremony and spoke on behalf of the vehicle suppliers, saying that CSR and Shanghai Metro had maintained longstanding and profound relations, and CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. and CSR Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. had delivered nearly 1,500 subway trains to Shanghai, accounting for over 70% of the total number of the subway trains running in Shanghai. CSR s qualification to serve the World Expo showed the great trust of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group in CSR and its heavy duty. CSR will give full play to advantages in specialty, talent, technology and equipment, collaborate with Shanghai Metro and develop a mode of linkage guarantee to jointly contribute to the safe, orderly and high-caliber operation of rail transit for the Shanghai World Expo.

According to the source, during the World Expo, 11 rail transit lines and special lines for the event, with a total operating length of about 420 kilometers, will bear the arduous task of transporting 5.5 million passengers a day. Then, nearly 90 teams and 1,000 Chinese and foreign volunteers from central enterprises, foreign enterprises and the city will volunteer for the safe operation of Shanghai Metro in the form of strengthening technical support .
