Sichuan Officials Inspect Jobsite of CFMCC Group in Chengdu

An official delegation of Sichuan Province conducted an inspection visit to the jobsite of Chengdu Tobacco Logistic Center, which was contracted by China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group), on December 30, 2010. The delegation was headed by Vice Governor Li Chengyun and also included officials of Sichuan Provincial Economy and Informatization Committee.
The Vice Governor and his delegation members were debriefed by the heads of the employer and the Steel Structure Company of CFMCC Group on the major structure of the Tobacco Logistic Center, which was to be completed very soon, as well as the application of new technology, process and materials for the purpose of environment protection. The project chiefs especially gave an introduction to the utilization of cast joint in the tube-truss structure, and the comprehensive application of the energy-reservation and environment-friendly measures in the overall structure. For instance, siphon drainage devices have been employed for the entire roof, and the rain water thus collected will be utilized for vehicle cleaning and watering the flowers.
Vice Governor Li Chengyun placed a high premium on the construction level and engineering quality of Chengdu Tobacco Logistic Center. He encouraged the project staff to tenaciously strive and closely coordinate to succeed in all the tail-in works, with a target to establish this works into one of the high-quality projects of Sichuan Province under the strict precondition of safety in construction, and make contribution to the economic and social development of the local area.
