With the approval of the Chinese Government, Bank of China is hereby converted in its entirety to Bank of China Limited, and is legally incorporated on August 26, 2004.

Upon incorporation, Bank of China Limited shall fully assume all the assets, liabilities and businesses of Bank of China. Bank of China Limited shall continue the business operations of Bank of China in accordance with the approved/permitted scope of business set out in its business license and other licenses originally held by Bank of China.

The business operations, trade names, trademarks, domain names and service hotlines of Bank of China shall remain unchanged and continue to be used by Bank of China Limited. The business operations shall be carried on and there is no need for its customers to undergo any change in formalities.
