Bank of China Spokesman Addresses on the Inaccurate Reports of Some Websites

On January 9, BOC spokesman Wang Zhaowen addressed on the inaccurate reports of some websites. He said that the reports on the staff of BOC Bank Card Center refusing to sign the labor contracts or resigning en bloc, as reported on some websites based on the information provided by the so-called insider , were absolutely inaccurate.

He said that, BOC Bank Card Center was an unincorporated enterprise with independent accounting, which carried out company operation and management subjecting to applicable laws. According to Mr. Wang, BOC Card Center enjoyed a relatively independent decision-making power in employment, enjoyed corresponding rights on human resource management and bore the obligations under the applicable laws.

The Center authorized China Consultation Corporation to employ, in accordance with the standard and requirement of employment, some competent personnel to provide labor services to the Center, based on which the Center would pay corresponding labor expenditure to China Consultation Corporation. The relationship between them was labor cooperation, and the execution of rights and obligations complied with the applicable laws, rules and regulations.

The standard and level of remuneration for the dispatched employees would be agreed between China Consultation Corporation and the employees, based on which the labor contract was signed or re-signed. Both parties were entitled to select and negotiate in the light of their own will.

Wang Zhaowen emphasized that, all the staff of BOC Bank Card Center had made great contributions to Bank of China; meanwhile the Center provided favorable working conditions and environments for the staff.
