Recently, representatives from the famous financial magazine Euromoney visited the Head Office of Bank of China (BOC) and delivered certificates of Best Commercial Bank(China) and Best Commercial Bank(Hongkong) awards in the real estate service of 2005 with sincere congratulations.

This was the first time for Chinese bank being awarded Best Commercial Bank in the real estate service, which became a highlight among the honors BOC had received. According to the explanation of Euromoney, the results were based on the Survey of Real Estate Sector in 2005. The surveyed service agencies were classified into six categories, namely, investment companies, investment banks, real estate advisory companies, commercial banks, developers and property management companies.

The best one in each field was comprehensively appraised through questionnaires and nominations of all agencies. The awards in China and Hongkong area were based on the weighing of 30% of survey feedback results and 70% of nomination. The total nomination of all candidate agencies amounted to 1499.

As one of the most important indicators of macro-economy, the real estate industry has important significance in expanding domestic demands and promoting the development of national economy. BOC has made constant efforts to provide financial services to the real estate developers and grow with excellent enterprises.

In 2005, BOC strengthened the cooperation with leading real estate enterprises to launch the personal housing loan service of Ideal Home , providing customers with professional, one-stop and star-level financial services and other value-added services. The award demonstrated the good reputation and recognition of BOC in the banking sector and customers and would deepen the cooperation with real estate enterprises, expand the cooperation scope and provide more excellent financial services.
