The Image Ambassador of BOC Olympic Partnership Unveiled

On March 8, 2006, Bank of China (BOC) declared that the famous skater Yang Yang was the "image ambassador" of BOC Olympic Partnership. In the signing ceremony held in the Head Office Building of BOC in Beijing, Vice President Hua Qingshan awarded to Yang an appointment letter of the image ambassador of BOC Olympic partnership. The famous player would uphold a special Olympic mission outside the Olympics competition.

In the last Turin Winter Olympics that closed few days before, BOC provided excellent financial services to Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games and Chinese Winter Olympic Delegation. Today, BOC unveiled the image ambassador of Olympic partnership, indicating that BOC had done well in the Olympic marketing in 2006.

BOC believes that the image ambassador of Olympic partnership Yang Yang shall help BOC carry forward the Olympic spirit in more fields and promote the development of Olympics in China. Vice President Hua said, 2006 is the key year for Olympic marketing of BOC. Work in the Olympic campaign& brand management, on-site service and preparation, marketing of products related to Olympics and Olympic marketing are being carried out in an effective way.

With the new mission assigned by BOC, Yang seemed very excited, The Olympic not only belongs to the players themselves but also to the human being. With a history of nearly 100 years, BOC has unique corporation culture and has achieved excellent business harvests. Both Olympic Games and BOC have a history of about 100 years.

Moreover, the Olympic spirits of Swifter, Higher, Stronger and the brand image of BOC are a good match. I am very grateful to the BOC for giving me theopportunity to share the Olympic spirits with all Chinese people and BOC, enjoy the excellent services of BOC, and promote the development of Olympics in China.

General Manager of the Olympic Office of BOC Xu Chen stated after the press conference, BOC has attached great importance to the public participation of the promotion activity. In December 2005, the first Olympic Festival held in Shanghai by BOC attracted thousands of people to participate and achieved sound social effects.

This year, BOC will continue to hold more marketing activities, in which the image ambassador of the Olympic partnership shall stimulate more people to participate and feel the Olympic spirits. Through all the activities, the new Olympic brand image of BOC will be better known by more people.
