Bank of China Wins 2006 ALB China Law Awards

In the recent 2006 ALB China Law Awards, the Legal and Compliance Department of Bank of China won the Banking & Financial Services In-House Team of the Year, becoming the only legal teams of domestic financial institutions winning the Award.

Asian Legal Business (ALB) is a specialized medium in the Asia-Pacific region targeting at law practitioners. The ALB China Law Awards is an authoritative appraisal for law firms, corporation law consultants and other specialized legal institutions engaged in Chinese law businesses. The event is held annually and candidates are nominated by corporate law consultants of large companies and law firms.

Apart from BOC, the listed candidates this time include CCB, CICC, ICBC (Asia) and Shenzhen Development Bank. The Banking & Financial Services In-House Team of the Year was granted to BOC by the review team composed of senior corporate law consultants, so as to commend the outstanding performance of the BOC Legal and Compliance Department.
