The workshop had presentation and group discussion on 25th August. Representatives gave a detail introduction of cooperation and discussed the implementation plan for the projects in China. The participants highly appreciated the work done by CNICIMOD since its establishment and put forward constructive suggestion.
During the closing ceremony, Dr. Madhav Karki expressed his gratitude for the contribution of the participants and heartfelt thanks for the meticulous organization of the meeting on behalf of ICIMOD. Professor Wei Fangqiang gave a closing remark at the closing ceremony.
The meeting not only brought out useful suggestion but also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences among local institutions.
ICIMOD-CNICIMOD Planning Workshop, host by ICIMOD and CNICIMOD was held in Chengdu on 24-25th August, 2009.
Mr. Changqing, Vice Director from NSFC, Mr. Cao Jinghua, Vice Director from Bureau of International Co-operation, CAS, Mr. Wang Zhenyu and Mr. Dongqi from International Organization Division and Experts from Yunnan, Gansu, Tibet, Beijing and Sichuan Province attended the meeting. A five-member delegation from ICIMOD, headed by Dr. Madhav Karki, Deputy Director General of ICIMOD, was present at the meeting.
